Fire at The Trails End Inn

On Friday, May 2, 2025 a fire broke out in our Gothics Room. Thanks to the rapid and skillful response of the Keene Valley Volunteer Fire Department, the fire was contained quickly. Most importantly, no one was injured. Their fast action and professionalism prevented what could have been a much more devastating loss.

After a great deal of thought, reflection, and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to transition The Trails End Inn away from short-term lodging and into long-term housing. This was not a decision we made lightly. We spent a long time considering what the future of this property should look like and how it can best serve both our families and the community we call home. Ultimately, we believe this next chapter allows us to support a pressing local need by creating stable, year-round housing for people who live and work in the Adirondacks.
